    NEPSY – Developmental Neuropsychological Assessment

NEPSY (A Developmental Neuropsychological Assessment) is a standardised psychological instrument used to assess neuropsychological functions in children. It is designed to identify strengths and difficulties across several cognitive domains. NEPSY is a comprehensive test for children from about 3 to 12 years of age and is widely used in clinical and educational evaluations.

The test assesses several essential domains of neurocognitive development:

By analysing these domains, NEPSY supports building a detailed neuropsychological profile of the child, highlighting difficulties that may affect learning and school adjustment.

The test is recommended for comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to identify developmental disorders; investigating learning and attention difficulties; assessing children with suspected neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. ADHD, language disorders, ASD); and planning personalised educational and therapeutic interventions.

    • Attention and executive functions (sustained focus, impulse control, planning)
    • Language (verbal comprehension and expression)
    • Memory and learning (retention and retrieval of information)
    • Sensorimotor functions (coordination and fine motor control)
    • Visuospatial skills (perception and organisation of visual information)
